    Covers the programs offered by VOICES and a brief survey of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.  For adults and teens.

    OVERVIEW OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

    Focuses on all areas of domestic violence, discusses why individuals stay in unhealthy relationships, power and control, and why domestic violence is such a vicious cycle. For adults and teens.

    OVERVIEW OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

    Focuses on all areas of sexual assault and abuse, how it can occur in various relationships including human trafficking, marriage and teen dating, and its impact on survivors.  For adults and teens.

    DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ITS IMPACT ON CHILDREN

    Covers the effects that domestic violence has on children who are experiencing violence in their homes. For those who work with children.

    DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM 

    Focuses on safety planning, the Illinois Domestic Violence Act, and the legal remedies that can help a victim of domestic violence. For adults interested in the legal help available to survivors of domestic violence.

    PREVENTION EDUCATION FOR ELEMENTARY YOUTH

    Teaching important strategies to protect youth from unsafe people and situations. Awareness of the problem and knowledge of what to do to prevent sexual abuse, harassment, and assault are keys to being safe.  For elementary age youth.

    PREVENTION EDUCATION FOR JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH

    Teaching important strategies to protect youth from unsafe people and situations. Awareness of the problem and knowledge of what to do to prevent sexual abuse, harassment, and assault are keys to being safe.  For junior high youth.

    PREVENTION EDUCATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH

    Teaching important strategies to protect youth from unsafe people and situations. Includes section on teen dating violence.  Awareness of the problem and knowledge of what to do to prevent sexual abuse, harassment, and assault are keys to being safe.  For high school age youth.

    EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 

    Focuses on responding to a domestic violence emergency. For first responders and can be modified for emergency room personnel.

    DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND HOW IT AFFECTS EMPLOYERS

    Covers the legalities, requirements and specific issues that affect employers who have an employee who is a survivor of domestic violence. For any employer.

    CLERGY RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 

    Focuses on how religion can be used as a “roadblock” or a “resource” for victims of domestic violence. Discussion centers around why couples counseling does not work and how clergy can help survivors of domestic violence. For clergy of all denominations.
