Believe survivors.
Validate their feelings.
Support them.
Our Mission
VOICES of Stephenson County provides client driven services to empower survivors and reduce violence in our community. We embrace a culture of safety, validation, respect, and racial and social justice.
VOICES of Stephenson County staff, volunteers and board members create a safe space where survivors can talk honestly and openly about the violence they have experienced and chart a new path.
We are a not-for-profit, inclusive organization. Services are offered in an accessible facility, and available in English, and a variety of languages using a language access line including speech/hearing facilitation. We are grateful to receive funding from state, federal and local government grants, as well as local grants and numerous donations from community businesses, organizations and individuals.
VOICES is a certified rape crisis center and a member of the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) and the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA).
